Harry Saxton

Harry joined the Board in the fall of 2019 and serves on the Finance and Risk Management Committees. Betsy is also a long-time volunteer and past member of the Youth Homes Board, so Harry has played many supporting roles over the years.

Harry was born and raised in Southern California. On an ROTC Scholarship, he attended Stanford University, where he earned a master’s degree and, after serving four years in the Navy, a doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering. During his professional career, Harry participated in defense-related activities, including research and development, engineering design, production, and field testing, while employed by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, and Lockheed Martin. During that period, Harry served in several management capacities before retiring as President of Lockheed Martin Nevada Technologies, headquartered in Las Vegas.

Harry and his wife, Betsy, have four children and four grandchildren scattered throughout the western US. Harry enjoys hiking, skiing, and flying gliders. He and Betsy enjoy traveling internationally and beekeeping.
