The holiday break can be hard for families trying to find activities for kids without school and their friends. For youth living in group homes, this break from routine is especially challenging because they are already going through so much. Youth Homes is seeking community support to ensure this holiday is filled with laughter, new experiences, and lasting memories for the youth in their care.”
“Every kid deserves to feel safe, loved, and cherished during Christmastime, and our kids are no different,” said Amy Schaer, Chief Executive Officer. “But taking a group of teenagers for a day of skiing or to the hot springs really adds up. We hope people will help us provide a fun winter break our kids need and deserve.”
Youth Homes is seeking community funding for activities such as a day at the movies, skating at Glacier Ice Rink, a day trip to Fairmont or Elkhorn Hot Springs, skiing at Discovery or Lost Trail, an afternoon burning off energy at Get Air, or other activities suitable for 12-18-year-olds.
