Birnbaum Youth Home Campaign - A race worth finishing, help us complete it!

A Race Worth Finishing

Join the race to complete the Birnbaum Youth Home. Kids are waiting.

The Birnbaum Youth Home will provide a safe, stable place for youth in crisis to breathe, heal, and find their footing. Built by a community that believes every young person deserves a place to land, it will offer the shelter, stability, and support they need to get back on track.

We are in the final stretch, and every gift moves us closer to opening the doors. Young people facing crisis cannot wait, and no one runs a race alone. Every dollar, every step, every mile brings us one step closer to the finish line.

About the Home

The Birnbaum Youth Home is a therapeutic crisis shelter supporting youth aged 10 to 17, with space for up to eight young people for stays ranging from 24 hours to 90 days. Nestled on a one-acre lot in Missoula’s Orchard Homes neighborhood, it offers a warm, home-like environment where each child has their own space and the support they need to regain stability.

This facility is more than just a shelter. Young people will continue their education, maintain connections to their support systems, and access mental and physical health services, helping them retain a sense of normalcy and belonging. The Birnbaum Youth Home ensures that youth in crisis have a safe alternative to CPS offices, unsafe couch-surfing situations, emergency rooms, juvenile detention, or the streets.
