Youth Homes Run 4 Kids 2025

On June 28th, over 60 runners laced up their shoes not just to cross a finish line, but to make a difference. That’s because they were part of the Run 4 Kids team

Each year this team raises funds to ensure kids in care with Youth Homes have the help, care and support they need to heal and become healthy. This year, the team raised over $85,000.

In the weeks leading up to the race, participants rallied support through pint nights, craft sales, and individual donation drives. On race day, the team met downtown at 5 a.m., where three vans provided by the Montana Natural History Center helped transport runners to the start lines.

During the course, an aid station played songs chosen by team members. But the most exciting part was just before the finish line, they were cheered on by kids from each of our homes, proudly waving signs and shouting support. For many, that moment was the highlight of the day.

The $85,000 raised will directly support Youth Homes’ mission to provide safe, stable homes for youth who have experienced trauma or instability. Just as importantly, Run 4 Kids helped raise awareness of our work among community members who may not have known about our services—and who now might reach out when a youth in crisis needs help.

We’re deeply grateful to our partners, including Run Wild Missoula, Montana Natural History Center, and the many volunteers who kept the day running smoothly. Your support means the world to us—and to the youth we serve.
