Employer Matching Gifts
Many companies will match your gift to nonprofit organizations, which doubles the size of your donation. If your company will match your donation to Youth Homes, be sure to request a matching gift form and send it to us with your donation. We’ll take care of the rest!
Planned Giving
By naming Youth Homes as the recipient of some or all of your estate, you ensure that your commitment to helping youngsters continues as a legacy of your caring. We accept planned gifts of stock, real estate and bequests, which are placed in our permanent endowment. Please contact your personal attorney or tax advisor for more information or contact Chris Carey, Development Director, at (406) 541-1649. to discuss your planned gift. Remember that Montana state tax credits are available to support your gift to our endowment.
We are proud to be a part of Legacy Montana, an organization who promotes interest in charitable giving through a will or an estate. To learn more about Legacy Montana, visit their website.
Host an Event
Does your book club, church group, quilters guild or service club like to participate in community service projects that benefit youth in need in our community? We’ve had groups do bake sales, car washes and paper product drives to support our kids. Please contact Chris Carey, Development Director, at (406) 541-1649.
Adopt-a-Room
If your service or church group wants to have a direct impact on the youth in our care, consider “adopting” a room in one of our group homes. By doing this, you commit to preparing and/or maintaining a bedroom in the house to ensure that each youth has a safe and welcome environment when they are placed in care. This involves providing new bedding as needed or purchasing room decorations.
We ask for a one-year commitment with regular quarterly activities or projects. For more information about either the Adopt-a-Home or Adopt-a-Room program, please contact Chris Carey, Development Director, at (406) 541-1649.
Volunteering
At Youth Homes, the safety, privacy, and well-being of the youth in our care always come first. Because of this, we offer limited volunteer opportunities that involve direct interaction with youth.
However, there are still meaningful ways to support our mission! Throughout the year, we rely on volunteers to help with special events, holiday projects, and community activities that make a big difference for our kids. We also occasionally need help with house projects, light maintenance, or organizing donations to keep our homes warm and welcoming.
If you’re interested in contributing your time, skills, or energy, we’d love to connect you with opportunities that fit your interests while supporting the youth in our care. Contact Chris Carey, Development Director, at (406) 541-1649.
