The Dan Fox Family Care Program has a contract with the Department of Family Services of Lewis and Clark County to provide In Home Reunification and Preservation services for families whose children have been removed from their care. Dan Fox staff will work to help parents meet the goals of their treatment plans by providing a variety of individualized services.
A trained supervised Visitation Specialist will supervise visits as requested by the Department of Family Services. Hours for visitation will vary upon a families treatment plan. Some of these visits will occur in our office in Helena. On some occasions, visits will occur in a family home as the family nears a transition to reunification.
A trained and Certified Circle of Security facilitator will work with a family either in a group or an individual setting to teach the evidenced based Circle of Security Parenting Model to parents. This is an 8 week course that helps parents understand the attachment needs of their child and how children will often “miscue” their needs when they feel uncomfortable.
A trained Parent Management facilitator will work with a family to help modify problematic parent child patterns in the home. Parents will work each week with the staff person to decrease negative behavior and increase positive behaviors so that these become second nature to the child.
A trained in home therapist will work with families offering therapy, guidance and support. Sessions are most often in the family home and are driven by a Family Support Plan which outlines goals and interventions. Therapists use a variety of evidence and trauma informed practices to help families heal and experience more stability to meet their goals.
