After graduating college at Minnesota State University with a degree in recreational therapy, Curt worked with youth and families in Colorado, Idaho, Alaska, and Germany. His roles have included case manager, experiential educator, recreational therapist, and outdoor guide. With his enthusiasm for natural environments and working with youth, Curt has found his passion in wilderness therapy. Since his first involvement in the field, Curt has worked in every position in wilderness therapy and has a keen understanding of effective wilderness therapy models. He obtained his Masters of Social Work at the University of Montana and has been involved with InnerRoads since 2010. Curt is most proud of the quality instructors InnerRoads’ attracts and believes in the power of the student-staff relationships to create positive change. In his free time, Curt loves traveling and doing anything adventurous or challenging. He is an extraordinary role model to the students he works with. The youth gravitate towards his enthusiasm for life and positive attitude.
